About Friends of Puerto Rico: is a non-profit 501(C)(3) that supports the economic development of the people of Puerto Rico through entrepreneurial initiatives, education, and creating opportunities for women and girls. Since 2015, we have mobilized a passionate community of over 30,000 global entrepreneurs, donors and partner organizations focused on driving economic success and innovation to cultivate the next generation of leaders. Title: Project Manager Fellow (Lodging provided)
Job Type: 3-month, 6-months or 12 months
Location: Las Marías, Puerto Rico
The Project Manager Fellow will support the projects at Panorama Farm that include meaningful lodging and service, coordination with the volunteers and the educational program and its initiative of youth entrepreneurship program: SEEDS. This includes training and empowering beginning entrepreneurs to initiate their own enterprises in an effort to address the urgent need to create new jobs and increase economic development in the region. They will also serve as instructors and staff with the development of our educational programs.

Our fellowship is an excellent opportunity to grow and impact communities in a specified term
You will be an integral part in this endeavor and work closely with our President, Angelique Sina, to focus on sustainability and self-sufficiency for Puerto Rico
This role will require for you to live in Las Marias or in the northwest of Puerto Rico

You will pave new road maps, charter projects and lead initiatives, while providing solutions and demonstrating grit to ‘Make Things Happen’.

You have interest or experience in non-profit organizations, philanthropy, and the social impact sector

Job Requirements:
Must be a 18 years of age or more, rising senior or pursuing a masters degree
Available to work 30-40 hours a week
Comfortable working in a rural area and in a hybrid environment
Fluent in English and Spanish
Excellent writing skills (especially emails, memos and thank you letters etc.)
Proficiency with MS-Office (Word, PowerPoint and Excel)
Prior work experience preferred
Grant writing ability is a plus
Hold one of the following citizenship or legal residency statuses: US citizen, US National, Lawful Permanent Resident (i.e. Green Card status), and persons legally residing within a state. Examples of persons legally residing within a state may include those holding the following classifications: refugee, asylee, temporary protected status throughout VISTA service, and holding Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) status.
