SEEDS is an Innovative program that seeks to develop the entrepreneurial spirit of the youth of Puerto Rico.
SEEDS (Seeding Education and Entrepreneurship with Diaspora and Supporters) Is an innovative after school curriculum based program for public schools in Puerto Rico that has the goal of developing a generation of youth entrepreneurs in Puerto Rico to provide long-term solutions to poverty. The program is done in partnership with Instituto Nueva Escuela.
Utilizing coffee, one of Puerto Rico’s most important and delicious resources, our year-long curriculum teaches public school children how to run a business from the ground up. Seeds allows students to tackle real-world business problems and engage in a mentorship program with leaders in business from on and off the island.
The SEEDS program launched September 2019 with 100 students from Instituto Nueva Escuela:
-Segunda Unidad Pasto in Aibonito
-Adrienne Serrano in Vieques Island
-Inocencio Cintron Zayas Barranquitas
-Delia Dávila de Cabán in Toa Baja
-Santiago Iglesias in Guaynabo
You can be a part of this transformational journey by purchasing Café Ama. Each purchase benefits 100 students from five different schools in Puerto Rico who are currently participating in SEEDS. You’ll also have the added benefit of getting to enjoy the fruit (or rather, beans) of their entrepreneurship journey.
