Friends of Puerto Rico Joins America250 as Supporting Partner

The organization joined as an official “Supporting Partner,” ensuring that Puerto Rican communities are an active part of this major national celebration.

Friends of Puerto Rico has joined America250 as a Supporting Partner, contributing to the national commemoration of the 250th anniversary of the signing of the United States Declaration of Independence.

America250, the national, nonpartisan organization charged by Congress to lead the commemoration of the signing of the Declaration of Independence, brings together organizations and communities across the country to mark this historic milestone.

As a Supporting Partner, Friends of Puerto Rico engaged its network of volunteers, nonprofit organizations, and corporate partners in America250 programs and activities. The organization also added its events and community initiatives to the official America250 map and calendar, creating opportunities for communities across Puerto Rico to take part in the national commemoration.

The collaboration highlights Puerto Rico’s historical, cultural, and socioeconomic contributions while supporting greater civic engagement and connection among communities across the Island and the broader America250 network.

Through this partnership, Friends of Puerto Rico joins organizations across the country in recognizing this milestone and highlighting the people, communities, and contributions that continue to shape the nation’s story.
