Building opportunities: Friends of Puerto Rico and UPR Aguadilla Partner to equip the next generation

At Friends of Puerto Rico, we believe that creating opportunities for young people begins with strong partnerships. By working alongside educational institutions, we can help equip students with the knowledge, experiences, and connections they need to thrive and contribute to Puerto Rico's future.

As part of this commitment, Friends of Puerto Rico has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the University of Puerto Rico at Aguadilla (UPR Aguadilla), establishing a collaborative framework to expand academic and professional development opportunities for students.

Investing in Puerto Rico's future

The agreement was formalized during a meeting between Angelique Sina, Founder and President of Friends of Puerto Rico, Zuleyra Pérez, Youth Programs Facilitator at Friends of Puerto Rico, Wilma Santiago, Interim Chancellor of UPR Aguadilla, and María L. Gaud, Executive Assistant.

For Friends of Puerto Rico, collaboration is one of the most effective ways to accelerate economic development and expand opportunities across the island. Therefore, this partnership reflects our commitment to continue fostering innovation and creating pathways that inspire long-term growth, resilience, and success through education, leadership development, and meaningful opportunities that prepare students to make a lasting impact in their communities.
