This Year-End, Make Your Act 60 Contribution Count by Changing Lives in Puerto Rico
For the past ten years, our mission has been clear: to create opportunities where a simple idea, talent, or passion can take root and grow. Thanks to the support of generous donors and volunteers, Friends of Puerto Rico has been able to bring programs like SEEDS, ESCALERA, and PIONERAS (Youth to STEM Careers) to life — programs that provide guidance, tools, and access to resources for young entrepreneurs, small business owners, and emerging leaders across the island.
Take, for example, the youth of SEEDS, who dream of becoming our next generation of entrepreneurs, innovators and community leaders. With mentorship, scholarships, and hands-on learning, these young minds are turning their passions into real-world impact. Through PIONERAS, young girls are exploring STEM careers they once thought were out of reach, opening doors to future high-demand jobs and leadership roles.
If you are a holder of an Act 60 decree, your annual contribution can be directed to Friends of Puerto Rico. While the exact requirements depend on each case, this is a meaningful way to fulfill your contribution while making a direct, lasting impact in your community. Beyond Act 60, every donation — whether large or small — helps us expand educational programs and development opportunities for children and youth across Puerto Rico.
Through our From Seed to Future initiative, we aim to:
Expand scholarships and mentorship pipelines for young innovators and entrepreneurs
Advance 21st-century skills and STEM readiness, creating pathways to education, training, financial literacy and high-demand careers.
Grow sustainable entrepreneurship, providing training, funding, and development spaces that strengthen small businesses.
Deepen community impact, helping more people build a resilient, thriving Puerto Rico.
This year-end, your support can make these programs reach even more children and youth, transforming dreams into tangible opportunities.
Give hope, create opportunity, and transform a child’s future
